As the name of the product suggests, Emby Server is a media browser server that facilitates the communication between two parties that transfer a certain type of data. By doing this, users can enjoy their favorite music, videos, or photos.
The application has a minimalist user interface, made up of a regular menu, with tabs, located in the Windows mini-bar. There are no themes or any type of customizations. The only positive thing about the interface is the response to user actions.
As you start to use the Emby Server, you discover that it has a Live TV function that can be used to stream Live TV to devices or simply enjoy your personal multimedia library.
Furthermore, users can sync their personal media to smartphones and tablets in order to access them offline. Also, it supports Chromecast, so you can easily send videos, music, or photos to Chromecast.
Other embedded features include Parental Controls, Cloud Sync or Easy DLNA, for automatically detecting DLNA devices on your network.
In conclusion, Emby Server is a great tool to use when you want to enjoy your multimedia files and share them on multiple devices. It could've been cheaper, and have a better-crafted interface, but maybe this will be improved in future releases.
